Industrial Automation & PLC Control
PLC programming, SCADA integration, and custom automation solutions across all major platforms. We don't lock you into one vendor, we pick what's right for your plant.
Complete In-House Engineering
From initial drawings to final handover, every step under one roof.
Electrical schematics, layouts, cable schedules, I/O lists
In-house workshop, not subcontracted
Cable installation and termination
Mechanical and electrical plant fit-out
Testing, tuning, handover
Most industrial electrical contractors handle two or three of these steps and subcontract the rest. All Plant Engineering carries the full chain under one roof: one point of responsibility, one consistent documentation set, and no gaps between design intent and what gets built on site.
Automation That Works With What You Have
Every plant accumulates control equipment over time. A conveyor line installed in 2005 runs on an Omron PLC. The mixer installed in 2012 uses a Siemens S7-300. The new packaging line the plant manager just approved specifies Allen Bradley CompactLogix. All Plant Engineering works across all of these, not because we claim to, but because we've had to for clients who didn't have the luxury of a clean-slate installation.
We work across all major PLC brands: Beckhoff, Siemens (S7-1200, S7-1500, TIA Portal), Allen Bradley (CompactLogix, ControlLogix, Studio 5000), Omron, and Mitsubishi. Platform choice is driven by the application, the client's existing install base, and long-term support availability, not by which vendor's partner program we are enrolled in. When there's no existing base to match, we recommend the platform that makes the most sense technically and economically for the specific project.
On the SCADA side, All Plant Engineering is a Certified Inductive Automation Integrator for Ignition. The Certified tier requires demonstrated project experience and ongoing training, it's not a paper qualification. Ignition is the preferred SCADA platform for new projects because its unlimited licensing model eliminates the per-tag and per-client costs that make competing platforms expensive to scale.
Protocol conversion is one of the less visible but practically important parts of industrial automation work. Plants accumulate equipment from different eras and vendors, and that equipment often cannot talk to each other natively. All Plant Engineering bridges them: EtherCAT, OPC-UA, Modbus TCP, EtherNet/IP, Profinet, serial protocols. Making a 15-year-old PLC visible on a modern SCADA without replacing the PLC is a legitimate project outcome, not a workaround. It keeps operational equipment running while giving the plant the visibility it needs.
For requirements that off-the-shelf software doesn't cover, we develop custom applications in .NET, Python, and C. Data integration between systems that don't share a common protocol, report generation from historian data, bespoke operator interfaces for processes that don't fit standard SCADA screen templates, these are real project requirements that come up regularly in industrial environments.
Automation Platforms and Capabilities
The specific platforms, tools, and approaches we use on automation projects, not a list of buzzwords, but what we actually deliver.
PLC Programming
Structured text, ladder logic, function block diagram. All major brands and platforms. Beckhoff TwinCAT, Siemens TIA Portal, Allen Bradley Studio 5000, Omron CX-Programmer and Sysmac Studio, Mitsubishi GX Works. New program development, modifications to existing programs, and fault-finding on running systems.
Ignition SCADA
Certified Inductive Automation Integrator. Unlimited tag and client licensing, no per-tag costs as your system grows. Screen development, alarm management, historian configuration, reporting, and MES modules. Production dashboards, energy monitoring, OEE tracking.
Protocol Conversion
EtherCAT, OPC-UA, Modbus TCP, EtherNet/IP, Profinet, serial RS-232/485. Bridging old and new equipment without replacing operational hardware. Making legacy PLCs visible on modern SCADA systems. Gateway configuration and data mapping for multi-vendor plant environments.
Custom Applications
.NET, Python, C. Data integration between systems that don't share a common protocol. Report generation from historian and production databases. Bespoke operator interfaces for processes that don't fit standard SCADA templates. One-off requirements that off-the-shelf software doesn't cover.
Real-Time Monitoring
Production dashboards visible from the control room and plant manager's office. Alarm management and rationalisation, reducing alarm floods to actionable alerts. Energy monitoring with sub-metering per production zone. OEE tracking for continuous improvement programs.
